Recipe
carnivore Kit Kats
Ingredients
- Regenerative 100% grass fed beef tallow (link to best tallow in the world on in my bio) - 3 tablespoons
- Grass fed top round steak (thinly cut) - 12oz
- Organic date syrup - 2 tablespoons
- Raw honey - 2 tablespoons
- Organic unsweetened chocolate - 6oz
- Eggs - 2
Steps
1Oven 180f - dry the beef - could take between 5-10 hours depending on thickness.
2When the beef is dried, blend it in a mixer to make beef flour.
3Pre heat oven to 350f.
4To the beef flour add, date syrup, 2 egg. Mix.
5On a baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper add the mixture and flatten it - we need it thin - this is going to be our biscuit part in our kitkat (2 layers per bar).
6Bake for 15 min. Take out of the oven and cut to thin strips that would match your mold. Then bake for additional 5-10 min to dry out.
7Chocolate. Add to pyrex bowl and place ontop of a pot that’s filled with water.
8Add 1 tablespoon of tallow.
9Mix.
10Optional: add date syrup to the chocolate to sweeten it- I don’t add any as I like the bitter chocolate taste.
11To the mold pour the chocolate, turn upside down, make sure all is covered and place in the freezer for 5-10 min. (We’re just covering the bottom and sides).
12Meanwhile, let’s make our tallow-honey combo. Add 2 tablespoons of tallow and honey to a bowl and whip.
13Then add the whipped honey-tallow on top of each biscuit layer (in between 2 biscuits and on top).
14Place into the mold.
15Add melted chocolate on top of everything and seal.
16Freeze for 20-30 min.
17Enjoy!
