carnivore Snickers bars
Ingredients
- Regenerative 100% grass fed beef tallow (link to this on in my bio) - 4oz
- Grass fed top round beef steak (thinly cut) - 12oz
- Grass fed butter - 2 sticks
- Organic date syrup - 1/4 cup
- Egg - 1 egg
- Organic maple syrup - 1/4 cup
- Goat milk powder - 1/3 cup
- Organic unsweetened chocolate chips - 1 cup
- Flaky salt
Steps
1Oven 180f - dry the beef - could take between 5-10 hours depending on thickness.
2In a pan add 1.5 sticks of butter over medium-high heat and keep stirring until caramelized (about 10 min). Then pour butter in a small baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper, and place in the freezer for at least a couple of hours.
3When the beef is dried, blend it in a mixer to make beef flour.
4Pre heat oven to 350f.
5To the beef flour add, date syrup, 1/2 stick of butter (melted), and 1 egg. Mix.
6In a small baking sheet over unbleached parchment paper, flatten and bake for 20 minutes.
7Tallow layer.
8In a mixer add beef tallow, maple syrup, and milk powder. Whip.
9Assemble.
10First layer, baked beef mixture.
11Followed by a thin layer of tallow-maple.
12Followed by the caramelized butter.
13Followed by another layer of tallow-maple.
14Please in the fridge for a few min before cutting.
15Cut into bars.
16Pro tip: heat up a knife before cutting for a clean cut.
17Place in the fridge meanwhile.
18Chocolate. Add to pyrex bowl and place ontop of a pot that’s filled with water.
19Add 1 tablespoon of tallow.
20Mix.
21Cover bars in chocolate. In the fridge.
